How Can severe Sinus Infection In Head be Treated?

I was visited last week by my nephew who lives in and teaches in South Korea. About days later I began to get what seemed like an ear or sinus infection but only on the right side of my head. Now I have began developing a rash on my collar bones on both sides my back and now along my neck area what could this be and is it related to my nephew coming from south east asia ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a sinus infection.

In my opinion, the rash is not related to the sinus infection. It can be an allergic reaction. A photo would be helpful to confirm the diagnosis.

I suggest you use anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen 400 mg daily.

I recommend to use saline nasal sprays and drink and drink a lot of liquids. If the symptoms continue you should take prescribed antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
